First, Ralph made another DVD.  This one is pretty much just for fun.  Second, all of us – either as a group or individually – are invited to the Texas Mission Council.  And, third, we’re inviting Pere Kensy to come to Texas.

First, Ralph Bahret put together a fun DVD and I’ll be glad to make a copy for anyone who wants one.  I must admit that I don’t have Ralph’s imagination, so it never occurred to me to speculate about what Boileau would look like from a satallite.  I found Ralph’s DVD amazing and fun.  It’s only about 4 minutes long.    Ralph uses the satellite picture / maps to trace our trip from DFW to Boileau.  If you want me to make you a copy of the DVD, just send an email  (mikefrost at haitianpilgrims dot org).

Second, members of Haitian Pilgrims have been invited to the annual meeting of the Texas Mission Council (TMC), February 16-18, at Cedarbrake Catholic Retreat Center, Belton, Texas (for those who want to look it up on the internet, the zip code is 76513-0058.)  It is an overnighter – Friday evening through Sunday noon.

Here’s what they promise:  This meeting will explore a new dimension in Catholic Misssionary efforts.  Every age in the development of the human race has fashioned new priorities to guide the life and the activities of its people.  This year TMC recognizes the reality of profound changes in our modern life style. The conference will highlight a new dimension in missionary labors; it will investigate how ordinary people can become active missioners in todays world.  The cost is $125.00 for room, meals, and conference registration.  Or, call Fr. Gerry Kelly MM at 713-529-1912 for information about scholarships.  For more information about this invitation, email me (mikefrost at haitianpilgrims dot org) or call me at 972.317-0894.  For more information about theTexas Mission Council, their website is http://texasmission-council.org

The third invitation is for Fr. Kensy.  We want to invite him to visit us in Texas – Moise has graciously offered to have him stay with his family.   I’ve extended an invitation for Fr. Kensy to visit us for a 4 or 5 day visit during the first couple weeks of June.  As the Bishop insisted when we visited them in Haiti, it is important to get some work done, but it is also important to have some fun.  So, think about what we can do with Fr. Kensy that will be fun for him – and for us.  Also, we need American AAdvantage miles – probably 60,000 miles for a ticket with travel originating in Haiti.  Hopefully there will be someone who can make a big gift for the ticket. Eager to hear your ideas.  mikefrost at haitianpilgrims dot org
